Houston rookie DeMeco Ryans leading the charge.

The Houston Texan's second round pick of the 2006 NFL draft, DeMeco Ryans, is putting the shine on this year's dismal and dull season. Despite all the furor and talk over first round pick Mario Williams, it is Ryans that could possibly win 2006 Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Ryans, the 6-1 235 lb. LB from Alabama is currently tied for 4th in the league in solo tackles with none other than lean mean Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens, despite being considered undersized for a middle linebacker.

He's showing an ability to grasp the scheme and put himself in position to make the tackle. Mario will be good, maybe even great, but Ryans is making an impact now.

Now, where can I get his jersey.
